The Marseille body is made of solid Dark Walnut wood. It feels solid in your hand. (I can attest to this, because that s my hand in one of those photos over there holding the mill. Perhaps I should have been a hand model instead of an entrepreneur? Perhaps not.)
But Marseille doesn t just crush it in the looks department. It crushes it in the grind as well. It s outfitted with our favorite type of grinding mechanism made by CrushGrind that uses a ceramic mechanism. It grinds smoothly with little effort.
The grind is adjustable for coarseness by turning the dial on the bottom. To fill the mill, just pull off the top and pour in peppercorns or salt.
